Privacy Policy

What Memo collects

Memo stores the account details you provide through Apple, Google, or email sign-in; your voice recordings; transcripts; titles and summaries; memo dates and durations; agent connections; subscription status; and limited technical records needed for security, reliability, usage limits, and support. Historical agent notes remain stored with their memos until deleted.

How Memo uses your data

We use this data to authenticate you, preserve and transcribe recordings, generate a short title and summary, sync your memos, let agents you authorize read memo text, provide audio playback, operate subscriptions and fair-use limits, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. We do not sell your personal data or use advertising trackers.

Service providers

Memo uses Supabase for authentication, database, private storage, and backend functions; AssemblyAI for audio transcription and transcript-based title and summary generation through its LLM Gateway; Vercel for this website; RevenueCat and Apple for subscription processing; Resend for sign-in email delivery; and Apple and Google when you choose their sign-in methods. Audio is sent for transcription, and transcript text is sent for title and summary generation. These services may use subprocessors to perform their work.

Memo is currently in private testing. Provider model-training, retention, and deletion settings are being verified before public availability. We do not yet make a blanket promise that every provider retains no data or excludes all submitted content from model improvement. Do not submit sensitive or other people’s recordings during this testing period.

Agents and audio

Connecting an agent authorizes it to read and search your memo text, including transcripts, titles, and summaries. This grants access across your memo library; it is not a per-memo selection. Agent commenting is no longer available; previously stored notes are retained until the memo is deleted. Agent credentials cannot download your audio, edit your transcript, change settings, archive memos, or delete data. You can revoke a connection at any time to stop future access. Content already received by an external agent is also subject to that service’s policies and cannot be recalled by revoking the connection.

Retention and deletion

Local audio is kept until cloud upload is confirmed. Archiving hides a memo from the active library; it does not delete its recording or transcript. Permanent memo deletion removes its content from your account and starts storage cleanup. Limited records may remain where required for legal, fraud-prevention, or transaction-accounting reasons. Provider-held copies and backups may follow separate retention periods.

In-app account deletion is not yet available in the current private test release. During private testing, contact waynedev9598@gmail.com to request deletion. We will verify account ownership and explain the removal process and any required retention. Working in-app account deletion is required before Memo’s public release.

Security and your choices

Memo uses owner-scoped access controls, private object storage, encrypted transport, short-lived storage links, and hashed Agent Connection secrets. No system is perfectly secure. You can archive or permanently delete individual memos, revoke agents, and sign out. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, portability, restriction, or deletion rights available where you live.

International processing and children

Memo and its providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate, using safeguards required by applicable law. Memo is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
